Kentucky open-records access is generally governed by KRS 61.872, with exemptions addressed in KRS 61.878. Start with the route below that matches the record you need.

  • For someone held at the county jail, use jail inmate records and the HCDC JailTracker/Public Safety Cloud roster path.
  • For booking-photo context, use jail roster mugshots before filing a record request.
  • For criminal charges after booking, use court records after a jail arrest and Kentucky Court of Justice resources.
  • For a facility-specific question, start with the Henderson County Detention Center page.
  • For a sentenced Kentucky state prisoner, search Kentucky Online Offender Lookup through the Kentucky Department of Corrections.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the federal Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
